Can you do custom pieces?

Absolutely! I offer custom services for individual pieces or custom trade pieces for your business, shop or restaurant. I have worked with celebrity customers, luxury companies and shops to develop unique pieces as well as a range of products. These can be designed to meet your needs, just contact us via the form on the Contact page with as much detail as possible.

Will every piece be exactly like the photos?

Due to the use of natural wood; colour, tone, texture and grain pattern may vary slightly, especially as all products are handmade to order.

How do I look after my wooden item?

Turned wooden pieces are at risk of warping. This occurs when the wood naturally moves because of changes in humidity and temperature. I do my best to manage this in the workshop by carefully choosing appropriately aged wood. However, I do recommend you keep turned pieces out of bright direct sunlight, as the heat on the top of the piece compared with the shaded underside, can cause items to cup or warp.

Are your items food safe and child safe?

Yes, I use a variety of finishes which are eco-friendly, food safe and child safe, so these items can be used to serve food.

Yes, I work hard to seek out the very best timbers, most of my supply is from local tree surgeons and sawmills in Cheshire. If I get timber from further afield than the United Kingdom then I work hard to make sure I know where the wood has come from and that it has been managed in a sustainable way before I purchase it.
